Thanks for having me! I’m Alexis Alvarez, and I’d like to
share a snippet from my newly released romance novel, Dream Girl.  It’s a funny, sexy take-off on the popular
American reality television show The
Bachelor
. In my version, the hero is the epitome of  tall, dark, sexy and intelligent. And the
woman is the sassy girl inside of us all, the woman who has the courage and
humor to be herself.  I hope you enjoy
it!
Product Description for Dream Girl:
He’s sexy and intelligent, handsome and witty… and Chloe’s
body lights up with sparks at his touch. And when he looks into her eyes and
whispers naughty sexy things into her ear, she wants to melt into him and enjoy
the mind-blowing passion he promises.
Too bad he’s the star of the popular reality show Dream
Girls, and he’s also dating nineteen other girls in addition to Chloe — girls
who are sexy and so talented that their Nobel Prizes should arrive any day now.
Chloe’s sure he’s just amusing himself with her, and there is no way he’d pick
her as his final Dream Girl — especially since she gets into so many crazy
scrapes on the show.
She promised herself she was only doing this for adventure,
travel, and new experiences…not to make a fool of herself on national TV. But
he’s so sexy and persuasive! Would it be so bad to say yes to all of his dark,
dirty requests? And most important of all — what will happen if she risks her
heart?
Excerpt from Dream Girl:
In this excerpt, Chloe
is at a Dream Release Ceremony, where several women will
be cut from the Dream Girls show.  She is
dying to stay, but she doesn’t want to betray her true emotions…and that she’s
falling for sexy Dominic.
Chloe walked up to face Dominic and tried to speak
confidently, so he wouldn’t know how nervous she really was. “I may change your
nickname from Tool Box to Vanessa Williams.”
A muscle twitched in Dominic’s jaw. “And the reason for that
would be?” He raised an eyebrow at her and folded his arms across his chest.
“You know, the song ‘Save the Best for Last.’ I should
probably make you sing it. That is, if you want me to stay.”
“I don’t think you get how this works, Trip,” said Dominic
in a steely voice. “I decide if you stay. And if you do, I offer you
this—this—” he held up a fluffy white cloth cloud attached to a blue wand,
silver ribbons curling from the handle, “Dream Cloud.”
Chloe burst into laughter and shot her hand out to cover her
mouth. “That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve seen yet.”
Dominic looked like he’d tasted something bad. “I didn’t
pick this,” he emphasized. “It’s what I have to give to all the women I select
to stay.” His shoulders looked stiff.
“That’s so awesomely horrible,” enthused Chloe. “A dream
cloud. Why don’t you just blow up a condom balloon and give that? Or hey—a lock
of your hair. A piece of your fingernail.”
“Trip,” barked Dominic. “Can we focus here?”
Chloe composed herself and nodded. This was fun. Despite her
nerves and her worry that she’d be cut from the show tonight because she wasn’t
as sexy as the other women, she was definitely enjoying this exchange with
Dominic. For some reason, when she was face to face with him like this,
everything else in the room faded away.
“So,” Dominic said in a predatory voice, relaxing his stance
and stepping closer. “Do you think I should pick you to stay?” His eyes roamed
over her body and he gave her a wicked smile.
“Of course,” answered Chloe, almost feeling his gaze on her
skin like a caress. “If you have good taste, that is. Although to be honest,
since I saw you with that cloud, I’m reserving judgment.” She looked at him
with her chin up and her shoulders back, and tilted her head to the side. She
held her breath. From the way he was looking at her, it seemed like he wanted—
From the side, Kyle waved at Dominic and mouthed something.
Dominic sighed and spoke as if reading from a script with no punctuation:
“Chloe would you please accept this Dream Cloud from me and continue our Dream
Journey to true love This Dream Cloud represents my dreams of love and
companionship and I would be honored if you accept.”
Chloe thought he looked like he might have to vomit. She
paused and gushed, “Oh, Dominic. Your
Dream Cloud? I totally accept. And I
just want you to know that if you’ve uploaded any nude pictures to the Cloud, I
fully intend to disseminate them to the entire internet.”
She snatched the cloud stick from his hand and waved it. In
her zeal, she stepped too close to the table that held the Welcome Dream gifts,
and knocked into the gnome. In slow motion, she saw the things on the table
shift, and the ceramic lawn ornament fell to the floor and broke into several
large pieces. She and Dominic both jumped backwards at the same time, and then
he grabbed her hand.
“Careful there, Trip. You don’t want to get dust on your
pretty ball gown.” He shook his head and laughed, and flicked her cape with his
hand. But then, as casually as if it had happened by accident, his fingers
lifted and brushed her cheek, and the spark that rushed through her was so
fierce that she caught her breath in surprise. And he smiled as if he knew it.
 Dream
Girl is a light-hearted, fun romance with steamy sex, laugh-out-loud humor, and
an HEA.  It releases September 1st
on Amazon and will be in the Kindle Unlimited program.
Thanks for having me, and I hope you enjoyed
the excerpt!
